“Queen of Snapchat” Katie May died after visiting a chiropractor in Los Angeles, California.
Model Katie May died as the result of visiting a chiropractor for an adjustment, which ultimately left her with a fatal tear to an artery in her neck, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
TMZ has obtained a copy of Katie’s death certificate, and sheds light on the huge mystery surrounding the death of the Instagram model in February. The document say she died when a blunt force injury tore her left vertebral artery, and cut off flow to her brain.
The death certificate also says the injury was sustained during a “neck manipulation by chiropractor.” And her death is listed as accidental.
As TMZ first reported, Katie was known as the “Queen of Snapchat” and had previously fallen during a photo shoot. She thought she pinched a nerve and went to a Los Angeles chiropractor on Friday. She later suffered a stroke on Monday, and remained on life support until three days later.
Katie’s family is aware of the coroner’s findings. But, they would not comment on whether they or her estate will pursue legal action against the chiropractor.
