The List of Movie Theaters Playing ‘The Interview’

Where to watch The Interview this Christmas holiday.

Sony is allowing theaters to screen The Interview after all. However, since none of the major theater chains have announced plans to show the film, moviegoers will have to head to indie theaters and smaller circuits to find the movie. As of midday Tuesday, 200 theaters around the United States have allowed the movie to hit theaters.

However, the nation biggest chains have all decided to pull the movie after Sony allowed exhibitors to make the decision, have not yet weighed in on their plans, but will likely not show the film as there are also plans to release it on VOD.

According to The Hollywood Reporter here a list of movies showing The Interview:

Apple Cinemas: Cambridge, Mass.

Ark Lodge Cinemas: Seattle, Washington

Belcourt Theatre: The nonprofit Nashville theater will have two showings on Christmas Day, adding more for the rest of the week.

The Bijou Art Cinemas: Traverse City, Mich: “I will be showing “The Interview” at my theater, The Bijou, in Traverse City, beginning on ChristmasDay,” Michael Moore tweeted, adding the hastags #NoCensorshipEver and #thankyouSony

Cable Car Cinema: Providence, R.I.

Chalmette Movies: Chalmette, La.

Chase Park Plaza: The St. Louis theater will have four showings on Christmas.

The Cinefamily: Los Angeles, Calif.

Cinema Detroit: The midtown Detroit theater will begin showing The Interview on Jan. 2.

Cinémas Palme D’Or: Coachella Valley, Calif.

Crest Westwood: Los Angeles, Calif.

Eastpoint Movies 10: Baltimore, Md.

The Frida Cinema: Santa Ana, Calif

The Gateway Film Center: Columbus, Ohio

Harkins Valley Art: Tempe, AZ, and Phoenix, Ariz.

Hollywood Boulevard Cinema: Woodridge, Ill.

Hollywood Cinema: Martinsville, Va.

Jasper 8 Theatres: Jasper, Ind.

Laemmle Theatres: The Interview will begin showing on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, at Laemmle’s North Hollywood 7

The Loft Cinema: Tucson, Ariz.

Look Cinemas: Dallas, Texas

Los Feliz 3: Los Angeles, Calif.

Megaplex Theatres – The District:  South Jordan, Utah

Michigan Theater: Ann Arbor’s State Theater in Michigan

Mission Grove Theaters: Riverside, Calif.

MX Movies: Downtown St. Louis, Mo.

Plaza Atlanta: Georgia’s longest-running theater chain announced that the film will play beginning on Christmas on two screens. Screenings on Christmas Day: 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m.

Prime Cinemas: Red Bluff, Calif.

Regency Theaters: The Southern California-based theater chain, with has 28 locations, will screen the film in several of its theaters:

Southside Works Cinema: Cleveland Cinemas will be opening the film at its Pittsburgh theater Southside Works Cinema on Christmas Day. “We are happy that Sony has decided to releaseThe Interview,” says Jonathan Forman, president of Cleveland Cinemas. “Freedom of speech and artistic expression are core values to America, and our company has never been one to shy away from a film due to its content. To not allow audiences access to this film would not have been right.”

 Sun-Ray Cinema:  Jacksonville, Florida

Terrace Theater: Charleston, S.C.

Tower City Cinemas: The multiplex in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, will screen The Interviewbeginning on Christmas Day, and moviegoers wearing red, white and blue will receive a free 32 oz. popcorn.
