The movie stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Zazie Beetz, and Marc Maron. Warner Bros. has set the release date for October 4, 2019.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio, the movie as being an “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.” Scott Silver co-wrote the script with Todd Phillips.
