With so much money involved in the Fast and Furious franchise, it is not surprising that Universal wants to bleed the franchise dry with one last Fast and Furious movie. The last Fast and Furious movie made $800 million worldwide and Furious 7 set to hit theaters in April, and it looks like the sequel will be another box office hit movie.

Universal is planning on making several other Fast and Furious movies and release them as several different movies to end the Fast and Furious franchise.

Universal could soon begin serious talks to bring Lin back to direct not just an eighth Fast & Furious movie but multiple movies, shot simultaneously, which would serve as a finale to the entire Fast & Furious saga. [EW]

Vin Diesel previously revealed that he wanted to film multiple Fast and Furious movies back-to-back so production for the feature film will not have to be rushed. In addition, Universal is currently in talks to have Justin Lin, the director behind 3, 4, 5, and 6 Fast and Furious movies which can only mean one thing… even more explosions.

Justin Lin previously quit the production because the studio wanted to increase the production schedule and release Furious 7 one year later. So, the movie studio hired The Conjuring director James Wan to direct Furious 7. However, Justin Lin is still in talks with Universal to direct the new Bourne movie alongside Matt Damon and a new martial arts movie, The Shaolin Temple.

But, at the end of the day it’s all about the money. In comparison to other movie studios, Univeral Studios is lagging behind the competition. With the recent success of superhero movies, Universal is planning on building a larger franchise for the Fast and Furious.
