Diddy may be able to put this whole UCLA fight behind him.
According to TMZ, UCLA coaches want to drop the cast against the 45-year-old entrepreneur.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of assault with a weight room kettlebell, battery and making a criminal threat after conditioning coach Sal Alosi allegedly began belittling Diddy’s son, Justin, during a team practice.
Diddy was released late Monday on $160,000 bail.
Reports suggest that an intern may have called the officers to the practice facility. Upon their arrival, authorities asked to see the video, which was enough for police to arrest Diddy.
However, despite the coaches agreeing to let the fight go, police argue that the case must under go felony review before the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
Diddy’s rep claimed that he acted in self-defense.
“What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son,” said the spokesperson. “We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.”
