Dave Chappelle admitted he voted for Clinton during a stand-up comedy show Friday night, but doesn’t “feel good” about he didn’t feel too good about his choice.
During his latest stand up set at NYC’s The Cutting Room, the comedian said Trump’s previous comments didn’t sound like sexual assault. Instead, Dave Chappelle accused the media of distorting Trump’s words.
After the news broke about his recent comments, A representative for Chappelle has issued a statement to Variety about the media reaction to his set. “Dave is disgusted by the tone of the election and especially by the idea that his comedy would be misconstrued to defend [Donald T]rump. His comedy show blasted both candidates. By the way, he voted for Hillary.”
This news comes only hours after it was revealed Chappelle was going to make his Saturday Night Live debut as the host of the November 12th show — the first episode after the Election Day.
