Date:

TV shows cancelled in 2015: Here are all of the TV shows canceled so far.

Actors all across Hollywood are picking up their bags and moving on. Many shows across network television were cancelled yesterday. Shows like ‘Backstrom’ or ‘The Following’ on Fox suffered from poor ratings. But, others like CBS’ ‘Battle Creek’ were pretty popular, but executives have decided to pull the plug. Even the highly anticipated ‘Constantine’ met it’s demise yesterday.

Many shows that were cancelled show that networks are looking into the future. NBC got rid of ‘About a Boy, ‘Marry Me, and ‘One Big Happy’. Deadline points out that this leaves ‘Undateable’ as the only sitcom left on NBC. NBC also canceled the highly anticipated series ‘State of Affairs’ starring Katherine Heigl – I wonder if she regrets leaving ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.

Nowadays, there are many more options for TV shows after they get cancelled as long as they have a following. Fox’s ‘The Following’ is rumored to be picked up by Hulu or Netflix. Hulu is currently in negotiations to rescue ‘The Mindy Project’ from being cancelled. Fox opted pull the plug after three seasons of ‘The Mindy Project’ but, reruns of the show was extremely popular on Hulu.

ABC’s decision to produce diverse TV shows last year such as ‘Black-ish’ and ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ worked in their favor. However, ABC’s ‘Cristela’ was a major flop in the ratings and executives decided to cancel the series.

ABC dramas ‘Forever’ and ‘Resurrection’ also failed to live up to their titles and ABC decided to cancel the series.

Freshman drama ‘Battle Creek’ was expected to be a hit since it was developed by ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan but, the ratings suffered after the show premiered.

At the end of the day pilot season is a gift and a curse.

Here’s a full rundown of what has been cancelled in the past few days. None of the shows are truly surprising but, with Netflix, you may see these shows rebooted in the near future.
