“Aquaman 2” is officially in development.
The sequel to the DC’s “Aquaman” is officially in development at Warner Bros.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Aquaman’s sequel will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the original film.
James Wan, who directed the first movie that has earned over $1 billion worldwide, is in negotiations to returns as producer alongside Peter Safran, but it is unknown if he will also return as director.
Aquaman was the first DC film to pass the $1 billion since 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” There is additional news that a spinoff film about “The Trench” is also in the works.
