Angelina Jolie hints that she might retire soon

The Hollywood A-List actress commented in an interview with the BBC that after playing Cleopatra, she could “finish” with acting.

Maleficent has dominated the box office this weekend, but it looks as though Angelina Jolie is looking to end her Hollywood career.

While promoting the new movie in the U.K., Jolie was interviewed by the BBC and she confirmed that she is considering bringing the movie Cleopatra back to theaters. “There’s been lots of different ideas of directors and lots of different discussions,” said Jolie, who would, obviously, play the Egyptian queen herself. “The script has been written by Eric Roth, who is a dear friend and a brilliant writer.”

Although the project is still in development, Angelina Jolie points out that she is taking this role seriously. “She’s complicated, it’s complicated to get this one right. I think we’re getting there. It’s getting close. I imagine the preparation for it is going to be big. It’s one of those that you think maybe that’s the one you put everything into and that’s where you end it, that’s where you finish—in a great way. What could you do beyond that one?”

Angelina Jolie has been working hard as a humanitarian alongside the United Nations. She was appointed the special envoy for the High Commissioner for Refugees in 2012, according to Time.
