Richmond, Virginia Casting Call – AMC’s ‘TURN: Washington’s Spies’ Season 2 Episode 4 casting call for speaking roles in Richmond.

AMC’s television series TURN: WASHINGTON’S SPIES is filming in the Central Virginia area, and Arvold Casting is seeking actors who look authentically from the Revolutionary War period for speaking roles.

TURN is adapted from the nonfiction book Washington’s Spies by Alexander Rose. The story is centered on a band of young soldiers and civilians who were part of the secret spy ring during the Revolutionary War.

NOTE: Actors who are cast MUST be available for fittings in Richmond, Virginia NO LESS THAN 24 HOURS prior to their 1st scheduled work date, preferably 48 hours before. Where necessary, production will provide per diem and hotel on these days, but actors will not be paid for these days in accordance with SAG/AFTRA rules.

All principal (speaking) roles are either local hires (within 60 miles of Richmond, VA) or modified local hires (within 500 miles of Richmond, VA). In general, modified local hire means mileage reimbursement, lodging provided and per diem on work days only.

Seeking the following speaking roles for episode 204:

[HAXON] Male, 20s-30s, Caucasian. A thin, rough privateer. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. STUNT EXPERIENCE A PLUS. [CO-STAR]

[RYDER] Male, 30s – early 40s, Caucasian. An authoritative, albeit rough, privateer leader. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. TWO SUBSTANTIAL SCENES, PLEASE SUBMIT ACTORS WITH DEMO REELS ONLY. [CO-STAR]

[CAPTAIN HOYT] Male, 30s, Caucasian. A handsome privateer captain who knows how to manipulate the system and people. Authentic British accent required. [CO-STAR, RECURRING]

[REDCOAT] Male, 30s-40s, Caucasian. A tired Redcoat looking for a room for the night. Authentic British accent required. [CO-STAR]

[DR. JEHOSOPHAT TONGUE] Male, late 40s- early 60s, Caucasian. A seemingly impoverished man in a tattered suit who is revealed to be a gang ringleader. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR, POSSIBLE RECURRING]

[GANG MEMBER] Male, over 18 to play 16-20, Caucasian. A gang member in the streets of New York. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. STUNT EXPERIENCE A PLUS. [CO-STAR]

[HENRY BROWNING] Male, 30s-40s, Caucasian, distinctive faces encouraged. A former petty thief, this simple man, seemingly dangerous at first, gains our sympathy. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. ABILITY TO RUN FAST REQUIRED. [CO-STAR]

[CHAFEE] Male, late 20s – early 30s, Caucasian. An affable young lieutenant joking with his fellow Blue Coats. Has a darker side when pushed. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR, RECURRING]

[CAPTAIN McCARREY] Male, 40s, Caucasian. A captain unexpectedly interrupted while leading a shabby outpost. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]
