Warner Bros. new movie Crazy Rich Asians is now casting lead speaking roles.

Warner Bros. is now casting lead roles for the upcoming feature film Crazy Rich Asians based on the novel by author Kevin Kwan. Warner Bros. is looking for 2 Female Actors and 1 Male Actor, 20s-30s, to play Chinese-Singaporean and Chinese-American.

About Crazy Rich Asians: 

According to Deadline, centers around Rachel Chu, a Chinese-American economics professor and her boyfriend, Nick Young. When Nick invites Rachel to attend his best friend’s wedding in his home town of Singapore, he fails to mention that as the heir to a massive fortune, he is viewed as the country’s most eligible bachelor.

Plot: NICK YOUNG is a History professor at NYU, and he’s falling in love with fellow professor RACHEL CHU.  When he travels back to Singapore to attend his best friend’s wedding, he brings Rachel with him — and before long, his secret is out.  Nick is from a family that is worth $13 billion, he’s perhaps the most eligible bachelor in Asia, and every single woman in his ultra-rarefied social class is incredibly jealous of Rachel and wants to bring her down.  It’s up to her to prove to his insanely privileged family that she’s worthy to be his wife…

Early – mid 30s to play Chinese-Singaporean. Character was born and raised in Singapore. She speaks fluent English with barely a trace of an accent, and has a few lines in Mandarin… STRONG SUPPORTING

Late 20s – mid 30s to play Chinese-Singaporean. Nick is a private, modest, and easygoing person with movie-star good looks. UK educated and a professor at NYU, Nick lives a relatively simple life with his Chinese-American girlfriend Rachel. On a trip home to Singapore, he reveals the truth about his family and the fact that he is the heir to a $13 billion fortune. He speaks fluent English with barely a trace of an accent, and has a few lines in Mandarin…LEAD

Late 20s – mid 30s to play Chinese-American. Rachel, born and raised in the US, is a beautiful, stylish, Economics teacher at NYU. Things are getting serious with her boyfriend Nick, and on a trip to his home in Singapore for a wedding and to meet his family, Rachel is shocked to learn that Nick is the heir to a $13 billion fortune. Speaks American English, and has a few lines in Mandarin…LEAD
