‘Underground’ Season 2 Savannah Casting Call for Real Musicians

WGN’s ‘Underground‘ season 2 casting call for musicians in Savannah, Georgia.

Underground season 2 is now casting real musicians to work on an upcoming scene filming in Savannah, Georgia. Marty Siu Casting is looking for African American banjo and fiddle players for a scene filming on Thursday, September 1st. Period instruments from the 1800s will be provided, but you’ll still need to know how to play the specific instrument as you’ll act like you’re actually playing the instrument to the music.

About Underground:

‘Underground’ follows a group of slaves who plan a daring escape from a Georgia plantation to cross 600 miles to freedom, aided along the way by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad, as they evade those tasked with bringing them back, dead or alive.

Underground Season 2 Casting Call

UNDERGROUND: We need an AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE BANJO PLAYER and FIDDLE PLAYER for a scene on Thursday, 9/1/16. Period instruments from the 1800s will be provided, but you’ll still need to know how to play the specific instrument as you’ll act like you’re actually playing the instrument to the music.

Because this takes place in the 1800s its important that you have a look that can fit the time period (no hair highlights, no visible tattoos, no braces, facial piercings, bright fingernail polish, braids, dreads etc…). We need classic looks.

Background actors need to be local to Savannah GA, or can work as a local (meaning you have local friends/family that you can stay with) as production will not pay for travel.
