A casting call for “The Hollars,” a romantic comedy directed by and starring John Krasinski, will be held in Jackson, Mississippi.
John Krasinski (“The Office”) was spotted around Jackson last month scouting areas to film his new movie, according to WAPT.
“The Hollars” features John Krasinski, Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins, and Margo Martindale.
According to Deadline, “The Hollars” centers on John Hollar (John Krasinksi), an aspiring NYC artist who takes his girlfriend (Anna Kendrick) back to his Middle America hometown on the eve of his mother’s (Margo Martindale) brain surgery. There he’s forced to navigate the crazy life he left behind as his dysfunctional family, high school pals, his father (Richard Jenkins), and his over-eager ex flood back into his life ahead of the operation.
The pic is produced by Krasinski’s Sunday Night production company and scripted by James C. Strouse in what’s described as a blend of Steel Magnolias and Garden State.
Morgan Casting is currently seeking Mixed Raced little girls (6-9 years or close to that) to play sisters in the upcoming movie, The Hollars.
