WWE Superstar Randy Orton is attached to star in the upcoming feature film making it the second movie the actor and director have worked on together since 12 Rounds 3: Reloaded.

The Condemned 2 centers around a former bounty hunter (Randy Orton) who finds himself on the run as part of a newly created high-stakes tournament.

“We’re thrilled to be continuing ‘The Condemned’ franchise with Randy, Roel and our terrific partners at Lionsgate,” said Michael Luisi, WWE Studios President.

“We are excited to be reteaming with WWE on “The Condemned 2,” after such a positive experience on the original film,” said Lionsgate Co-Chief Operating Officer and Motion Picture Group President Steve Beeks. “The combination of their brand marketing capabilities, creativity and deep lineup of dynamic onscreen talent result in a powerful partnership.” [One Headlight Ink]

The Condemned came out in 2007 and was written and directed by Scott Wiper. The film stars Steve Austin, Vinnie Jones, Robert Mammone, Madeleine West and Rick Hoffman.

The film centers on ten convicts who are forced to fight each other to the death as part of an illegal game which is being broadcast to the public. The Condemned was filmed in Queensland.
