Ryan Gosling’s First Man is now casting NAVY men, parents and featured roles in Atlanta, Georgia.
Casting directors are now casting talent to work on scenes filming in and around Atlanta, Georgia. Producers are seeking the following types:
- MARLBORO MAN
- JACK – Seeking Caucasian man to portray a husband.
- DRIVERS – Seeking Men and Women that are comfortable driving period cars (60’s)
- BAKERY TRUCK MAN – Seeking Caucasian Male / Age 35-40
- PARENTS – Seeking Caucasian Men and Women / Ages 40-50
- KIDS – Seeking African American and Caucasian Kids / Ages 6-14
- NAVY MEN – Seeking men with a military background
- BONGO AND DRUM SET – Seeking African American Males that have experience playing full drum set or bongos
About First Man:
Josh Singer, who earned an Oscar for his Spotlight screenplay, wrote First Man based on James Hansen’s biography, First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong. Gosling has reportedly been tied to the project since late last year, but only inked a deal to star in the film earlier this year.
After serving as a Navy pilot in World War II, Neil Armstrong joined the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the precursor to NASA, as a test pilot and engineer. His first mission as an astronaut was Gemini 8 in 1962, during which he performed the first successful docking of two vehicles in space. On July 21st, 1969 he became the first person to walk on the moon as part of Apollo 11.
