Oprah Winfrey networks’ OWN series Love Is is now casting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Fayetteville and Atlanta, Georgia.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- INSOMNIA CAFE OWNER: Asian looking Female who looks in the 50’s age range.
- INSOMNIA CAFE WORKER: Asian looking Female who looks in the 20’s age range.
- INSOMNIA CAFE “CORE” PATRONS: Males and Females, any ethnicity, who look in the 20’s to 50’s age range, should be writer types, Student types, date night couples, and struggling to break into the industry types. Remember you should have a look that fits into the 1990’s.
- 1990’s AUTOS- We will need to use cars from the late 1980’s and 1990’s time periods throughout the season of the show. The cars should be 1998 or older (meaning made before 1998) and should be in good shape. She should NOT look like cars that are 20 years old. Please submit a photo of the car or truck in your e-mail submission. We will accept all car colors EXCEPT WHITE. No white cars please, and no cars with stickers and decals on them. There will be additional compensation for using your auto.
About OWN’s Love Is…:
The series centers around the love story between a modern-day power couple. In the world of Black Hollywood, they navigate a complex set of social codes, and this series will explore it all, from the good to the bad and to the ‘90s when the love story began.
Weaver will play Nuri, a bubbly personality with big dreams who is struggling to make a name for herself as a sitcom staff writer while struggling an assortment of romances that only leave her party fulfilled. After she meets Yasir, himself unemployed and barely holding onto his dreams, Nuri changes all her opinions about what she expects from a man because she’s just found the one who is perfect for her.
Yasir is an aspiring writer-director who is down to his last two unemployment checks and lives (unhappily) with his on-again/off-again ex. But after meeting the stunning Nuri, Yasir finds a reason to alter his life and the drive to access his potential.

Brandi is excited to announce a new show filming in Atlanta starting at the end of this month. There will be several reoccurring sets during the show, so I am looking for “core” groups that are open and available to work the season. The show takes place in the late 1990’s, and it’s about a young African American Male and Female, who fall in love while working as writers and producers on a hit TV series.
The background ACTORS are very important to the success of this show, and production wants to hand pick all of the background, they don’t want you to just be extras, but background ACTORS, who will really add value to this series, there may even be featured and upgrade opportunities.
I will post the categories needed below, BUT please ONLY submit if:
A) You are registered with Central Casting Georgia (or able to come in next week and register, before filming starts.
B) You are open and available to work whenever the show needs you, which means no other “regular” jobs or time restrictions or gaps in your availability. This show should be your top priority.
C) You have a look and style that fits into the 1990’s time period, especially hair styles. If you are not sure, please do your research and google the 1990’s including popular TV shows and check out the hair, and facial hair and clothing styles. Also important is NO VISIBLE TATTOOS.
