MGM Feature Film “MAX” is currently holding a casting search for a lead speaking  role in the movie.

The film is inspired by true events. A Belgian Shepherd Malinois military working dog returns from active service in Afghanistan traumatized by his handler’s death. Erratic and dangerous, Max is adopted by the bereaved family and bonds with the Marine’s troubled 14-year old brother. Together they unravel the secret behind his brother’s death and pull a family together again.

Casting directors are looking for young teen actresses for the MGM feature film. Auditions will be held this week throughout Texas.

Austin, Texas: Tuesday April 8, 2014
Houston, Texas: Thursday April 10, 2014
San Antonio, Texas: Saturday April 12, 2014

Synopsis:
MAX is a family adventure film from MGM Studios and is inspired by true events. The story is about a dog working in Afghanistan alongside Marines and returns from service after his handler is killed. The man’s devastated family adopts the dog, who is erratic and still suffering from the traumas of war. The dog ends up bonding with and helping the family’s troubled 14-year-old son, Justin. Together they unravel the secret behind his brother’s death and help to pull the family together again.

Character Info:
CARMEN – Female; 14-15 years old; Hispanic. She is Chuy’s cousin. Rebellious and smart, she loves animals and understands them well. She’s grown up with older brothers, so can hold her own with any group of boys she finds herself in the middle of. (LEAD) — MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DOGS.
