Lin Manuel Miranda‘s “In The Heights” movie is now casting jump ropers in New York City.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on a scene filming on Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- SAG-AFTRA/NON-UNION Latina/African American Girls, 9-15, to portray Double Dutch Jump Ropers!
About “In The Heights”:
In the Heights is a musical with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes. The story is set over the course of three days, involving characters in the largely Hispanic-American neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City. The upcoming movie star Stephanie Beatriz, Corey Hawkins, and Jimmy Smits.

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking the following for “In The Heights”: SAG-AFTRA/NON-UNION Latina/African American Girls, 9-15, to portray Double Dutch Jump Ropers!
THIS WILL BE AN EXTERIOR DAY SHOOT FILMING IN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS!
Your child will be paid the Special Ability Rate $180/8hr
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU’VE ALREADY WORKED THIS SEASON/BEEN FIT/CONTACTED FOR ANOTHER SCENE!!!
These scenes are scheduled to work TOMORROW Wednesday 6/5 & Thursday 6/6
If interested/available please email in to [email protected] and change subject line to read “FB, Double Dutch” and include in the body of the email the following info:
-Name and age of your child
-Union Status of your child
-Name and contact # of parent/guardian
-Confirm your child has a valid NY work permit (with expiration date)
-Confirm you have a trust account set up for your child
-Current photo showing hair length and look of your child
-All wardrobe sizes: Height, Weight, Clothing Size, Shoe Size
-Please note comfortable working exterior scenes
-Confirm full avail for work dates Wednesday 6/5 & Thursday 6/6
-List any experience your child has with double dutch/jump roping
-What forms of ID you have for your child to bring to fill out I-9 paperwork
