HBO miniseries “The Plot Against America” is now kid actors in New York City

HBO’s “The Plot Against America” is now casting Caucasian boys and girls to play 1940s, all ages, to work on the show as it films between April 22nd and May 6th in Englewood, New Jersey and East Orange, New Jersey. Production will provide transportation from Manhattan if needed.) Wardrobe fittings will take place in Queens before the work date, after school.

About “The Plot Against America:

According to Deadline, the new HBO series is a six-part miniseries based on the Philip Roth novel. The show will center around an alternate American history told through the eyes of a Jewish family in New Jersey as they watch the rise of the nation toward fascism.

How to apply:

GWC is seeking NON-UNION Caucasian Boys and Girls to portray 1940s CHILDREN (All ages! Toddlers to 18! for work on new HBO series THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA!

We need children for several upcoming work dates:
Monday, April 22nd
Tuesday, April 23rd
Monday, May 6th
*Do not have to be available for all three dates!

Shooting will take place in Englewood, NJ and East Orange, NJ (Production will provide transportation from Manhattan if needed.) Wardrobe fittings will take place in Queens before the work date, after school!

Since this is a project set in the 1940s, boys will need to be comfortable receiving 1940s haircut (length on the top with tapered sides and backs. No buzz cuts or intense fades!), and girls must have chest length hair or shorter (or be willing to have it cut)!

For the scene on May 6th, we are looking for boys in particular with BASEBALL experience to be a group of kids playing stickball! Also need a handful of kids with CURLY HAIR!

Please note if the child has a valid NY or NJ work permit/trust account set up, if not, we can provide instructions on how to acquire!

NO braces!

-confirm child is non union
-guardian’s name and phone number
-note which date your child is available for: 4/22, 4/23, 5/3 (if available all 3, please note! Not required though)
-note if child has valid NY work permit and trust account set up
-sizes: height, weight, shirt, pants, and shoe
-does child have braces?
-BOYS: Please note any experience with baseball (was child ever on a team, etc?)
-boys: okay to receive 1940s haircut?
-girls: hair chest length or shorter, or willing to have it cut?
-2-3 recent photo showing child’s current look and hair (NO headshots. selfies/candids are best!)
