On Location Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the Discovery Channel TV series ‘Taking Flight’ in Los Angeles, California. Producers are looking for actors to work as extras and lead roles in the TV series. Filming will take place on Monday, March 30th through Wednesday, April 3rd in Los Angeles, California.

LOS ANGELES, CA – CASTING NOTICE for Discovery Channel TV series “Taking Flight” (Los Angeles Talent – this is DIFFERENT from the Dallas notice!)

Extras & Lead Casting Director: On Location Casting

Audition Date/Location for Lead Roles: Self Submission photos via email (video only when requested)

Tentative Shoot Date: *will be ONE of the following dates listed so please keep ALL dates listed for the role you are submitting for open if submitting. See specific roles for specific date(s). Monday 3/30/15, Tuesday 3/31/15, Wednesday 4/1/15, Thursday 4/2/15, Friday 4/3/15

Shoot Location: LOS ANGELES, CA

Pay rate:

EXTRAS – $80.00/10 hours ($8.00/hour)

LEADS – $150.00/day (could be higher up to $250.00/day depending on how featured you are and how many lines you have)

Union Status: Non-Union

ROLES BEING CAST:

TOUR ROADIE: male, all ethnicities, age range mid 20s – early 40s, grungy road crew or musician types (MAY also be upgraded to LEAD). Tentative work date: 3/31/15

SECURITY GUARD: male, all ethnicities, age range 20s-40s, big guy, tough looking, intimidating (MAY also be upgraded to LEAD) Tentative work date: 3/31/15, 4/1/15

GROUPIE: female, Caucasian, age range 18-27, thin, attractive, sexy, willing to wear skimpy clothes. Tentative work date: 4/1/15

AIRFIELD PERSONNEL: male, all ethnicities, age range 20s, clean-cut, conservative, ground crew and luggage handler types. Tentative work date: 4/2/15

LEADS: (will have possible scripted and non-scripted lines so should be comfortable acting/speaking on camera)

COUNTRY SUPERSTAR: male, Caucasian, age range late 20s to early 40s, attractive, thin, Western style with a cowboy hat. Tentative work date: 4/1/15

TOUR BUS DRIVER: male, Caucasian, age range 30s, roadie or Teamster type. Tentative work date: 4/1/15

WAITRESS: female, Caucasian, age range 20-25, pretty, thin, wholesome, conservative, country girl type. Tentative work date: 3/30/15

FBO OFFICER: male, all ethnicities, age range mid-late 40s, clean-cut, conservative, professional. Should have business attire.  Tentative work date: 4/2/15

JANE (Wife): female, Caucasian, age range mid to late 40s, wholesome, plain, conservative, country type. Tentative work date: 4/2/15, 4/3/15

JACK (Husband): male, Caucasian, age range mid to late 40s, wholesome, plain, conservative, country type. Tentative work date: 4/2/15, 4/3/15

PHOTO SUBMISSIONS ASAP via email to: [email protected] with subject line TAKING FLIGHT LOS ANGELES (role).  Submissions MUST include ALL of the following: 2 RECENT photos taken within the past month (one head shot and one full body shot), first & last name, contact number, please describe your acting experience (if submitting for Lead Roles).  If being considered for a Lead Role – we will be contacting you with specific requests for video footage (please do NOT send unless requested). Photos should be of you alone with no one else in photo, NO sunglasses and against a plain/solid color background!!

SUBMISSION DEADLINE is MONDAY 3/23/15 at 10:00am, however earlier submissions are preferred so that we can get your photos in front of the Client quicker and have you send in an audition video!
