Oprah Winfrey‘s new OWN TV series David Makes Man is now casting new speaking roles.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on on August 7th or 8th in Orlando, Florida.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- AA Male, late 40’s – early 50’s
- Shoot Location: Orlando Area *Must work as a local hire*
- If cast this is a PRINCIPAL ROLE – PAID JOB!
- Casting Dates: TOMORROW August 7th or August 8th
- Callback Dates: September 13th
- Shoot Dates: September 25-27 (Talent may work 1 or more days)
About OWN’s David Makes Man:
According to Deadline, “David Makes Man centers on a 14-year-old prodigy from the projects who is haunted by the death of his closest friend and relied on by his hardworking mother to find a way out of poverty. He must choose between the streets that raised him or the higher education that may offer him a way out. Set in South Florida, the lyrical drama, inspired by events in Tarell Alvin McCraney and starring veteran actor, Phylicia Rashad, own life, explores the inherent trauma sustained in the fight for survival.”
David Makes Man will be executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, Michael B. Jordan, and Revenge’s Mike Kelley and Melissa Loy. Writer and producer Dee Harris-Lawrence will serve as the drama’s showrunner.
